Red potato slips are a great choice for anyone who wants to grow their own potatoes at home. Red potatoes are a mid-season variety that have red skin and white flesh. They are rich in vitamin C, potassium, antioxidants, and are cholesterol-free. They are also delicious and versatile, perfect for making fries, mashed potatoes, baked potatoes, and more.
To grow red potates, you need to plant them about six to eight weeks before the last frost date in your area. You can plant them either in your garden or in a container, as long as they get full sun & well draining soil. Red potatoes will be ready to harvest in about 100 days unlike sweet potatoes that take almost a year.
